Match! but What Now?!?!

Par l'équipe du blog Soudfa

Ding ding ding! You got a match! You would rather love to get to know the other person better, but how do you go from match to contact? Not to worry we’re here to help! You’re in a tight spot now, eh? You’ve logged on to Soudfa and have a match, but how do you go about the next step in the process? Feeling nervous? Starting to sweat a little? Good then you know it’s serious. You’ve been sending out interests like there’s no tomorrow, no need to be ashamed of that, all is fair in love, war and online matchmaking.

Now you’re in a situation where you have to do something about it all. Him or her which you’ve sent an interest has returned the interest. It is on. Insert drumroll or fanfare.

So now you’ve been starring feverish at the match icon for almost fifteen minutes trying to come to terms with the fact that this beautiful creature actually is interested in you, or if you’ve entered some kind of parallel reality.

We are strong supporters of thinking things through, but we’re also rather keen on swift action. And how do you act in a situation like this? Well first and foremost you gain control of the two installations at the end of your arms, they go by the popular name of hands, and move them onto the keyboard.

But what to write? Well, we aren’t really in the business of creating tailored recipes on how to write your Soudfa crush, but we certainly don’t mind giving a few tips and pointers. But for goodness sake don’t just write “Hey there….” it would be the equivalent of asking someone to dinner and the serving is a frozen meal cooked in your microwave oven.

It would make you seem just as interested as a business man forced into a kindergarten, and that’s not where you want to be heading, is it? What you should keep in mind is questions, information and creativity. Not too much and not too little. If you hurl your entire life story into one message, you might seem somewhat desperate and needy, not the best impression to give.

So ease into it. Ask about work and interests and should have anything in common, it’s just a bonus. It’s fairly Dialogue 101, but remember to ask questions in your messages unless you’re actively trying to kill the conversation.

It pays off dividend to show that you’re interested and at the same time it creates an urge to know more about you. Sharing things with each other builds trust. And out of trust the most wonderful things can grow. What these things could be we’ll let you explore and define own your own.
